We care for children and young people aged 6 to 18 (the maximum age on admission is 17), of mixed gender. Many of the children we support may have experienced trauma, loss or disruption to their family relationships, and may have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD or other special educational needs (SEN), or require assessment.

Our homes are deliberately small, caring for a small number of children, so every child receives a high level of individual attention with a high adult-to-child ratio and one-to-one support where it’s needed.

Yes. Our teams are on-site 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and staff sleep in the home overnight, so there is always a familiar adult available.

Both homes are in Kent, in quiet residential village settings close to schools, local amenities and the surrounding towns, with good transport links.

At the point of referral we work with the placing authority to find the most suitable education for each child, drawing on good links with local mainstream and special schools, and we place great importance on helping every child make the most of their education.

Safeguarding is our paramount concern. Each child has individual risk assessments and a safeguarding plan, all staff are safely recruited and trained in safeguarding (refreshed at least annually) and in Team Teach de-escalation, and we work closely with placing authorities, the LADO and other professionals.

Yes. We actively support and encourage contact with family and friends, where it is appropriate and in the child’s best interests.

We encourage children to enjoy hobbies and interests and to take part in local clubs and community activities, and our homes offer facilities such as sensory rooms, cinema and games spaces, and large gardens.

Every child has a key worker and an individual care plan, and is involved in decisions about their own care. We take a therapeutic approach and work with partner agencies such as CAMHS; where it helps avoid delay, we privately fund autism and ADHD assessments.

Yes, both homes are registered and inspected by Ofsted. White Horse House is rated ‘Outstanding’ and Victoria House is rated ‘Good’.
