Mathew Spencer
Responsible Individual
Mathew has worked with children and young people for over 10 years. In that time he has gained considerable experience and skills working with a large variety of children with very differing and complex needs, across residential care, fostering and youth work. He is passionate about his work and a positive, effective advocate for both children and staff. Mathew has completed a range of training including Registered Managers training, Attachment Theory, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Safer Recruitment.
Lisa Ford
Registered Manager, White Horse House
Lisa has worked in health and social care for over 20 years, from elderly residential care to auxiliary care in a hospital environment, and with children with a wide range of needs and backgrounds. For the last 15 years she has worked in children’s residential services, beginning as a residential worker and developing her career through training and advancement. She has completed a wide range of training, including the ARP training with Professor David Shemmings and training in residential management, and gained her assessor’s qualification. Lisa is passionate about the work at Jayne’s Homes and committed to providing outstanding care to the children.
Dean Hougham
Head of Care
Dean has over 16 years’ experience in residential childcare and management, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and other associated conditions. He is passionate about helping every child feel safe, valued and understood, and about developing their emotional literacy, social skills, confidence, independence and resilience so they can work towards their goals and achieve the best possible outcomes. Dean is equally committed to managing, developing and supporting the teams who care for them, believing that strong communication, consistent practice and collaborative teamwork create the nurturing environment in which children can thrive.
Grace Fraser
Registered Manager, Victoria House
Grace is an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager with over 14 years’ experience in residential childcare and more than 20 years’ experience across care and management roles. She has progressed throughout her career from Residential Support Worker through to Registered Manager, giving her a strong understanding of both direct care and leadership.
She holds a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, and a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Science with Psychology. Her professional training includes safeguarding, attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, Team Teach, managing allegations, restorative justice and the Solihull Approach. She is also trained as a First Aid Instructor and Ligature Awareness Trainer.
During her career, Grace has been involved in achieving four Outstanding Ofsted inspections and has extensive experience in safeguarding, staff development, quality assurance and therapeutic, child-centred care.
Grace joined Jayne’s Homes in September 2024, successfully leading the opening and development of Victoria House from inception. She is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and consistent home where children can build positive relationships, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.
