At Jayne’s Homes, everything we do is built around one belief: that every child deserves a safe, nurturing home and the chance to reach their full potential. We aim to feel as close to an ordinary family home as possible, where children are valued, listened to and supported to grow. Our approach brings together warm relationships, a therapeutic environment and high aspirations for every child in our care.

Child-centred and individual
We treat every child as a unique individual who is valued, trusted and worthy of a chance to develop in our care. Each child has a dedicated key worker and an individual care plan, and is actively involved in the decisions that affect their life. We take time to understand each child’s history, needs and interests, so that our care fits the child rather than the other way around.
Therapeutic and nurturing
We provide a settled, homely environment with a therapeutic emphasis, helping children recover from difficult experiences and learn to understand and manage their emotions. We work closely with partner agencies, including CAMHS and other specialists. Positive behaviour is celebrated, and when things are difficult we focus on understanding and restorative approaches — building relationships and repairing harm rather than simply imposing sanctions.
High aspirations and positive outcomes
We are relentless in our high expectations and our belief in every child’s potential. We support each child’s education, encourage hobbies and involvement in the local community, and equip them with the life skills, confidence and independence they will need for the future. Above all, we celebrate progress and achievement, however big or small, and help each child build positive memories along the way.
Working in partnership
We keep the child at the centre of everything and work closely with families, social workers and other professionals to give each child stability and the best possible outcomes. We actively support contact with family and friends where it is appropriate, and make sure every child’s voice is genuinely heard. Guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, we champion each child’s rights and their potential.
